The hotel was unique and the staff outstandingly accommodating, excellent location so close to all the activity. The breakfast was great and excellent for what was on offer with an assortment of pastries and pastries, as example. The public parking was nearby, friendly service.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Zona Romantica, close to the beach and the popular nightlife spots, making it a great choice for spring breakers and partygoers. You can easily explore the vibrant neighborhood and visit the famous cathedral in the Romantic Zone.
Some guests have mentioned that the sound insulation in the rooms could be improved, as they were able to hear noises from the hallway and adjacent rooms.

Good location, convenient to the areas I wanted to see. Fronk desk staff very friendly, courteous, and helpful.
There was no restaurant or food available in the hotel, only coffee in the morning. Disclosure on booking mentioned the price for breakfast although the hotel did not offer any.

Centrally located. Staff seem nice, and the lady I dealt with was very friendly. Good aircon, and also ceiling fans in the rooms.
Booked Deluxe room for 8 nights as I was travelling alone to do a spanish course, and wanted a nice place to relax in the evenings. Arrived at about midnight. Room was so noisy I couldn't sleep. Doors/windows not sealed, so street noise all night long, and central Puerto Vallarta isn't quiet! Also the safe didn't work, and the shower was very poor. Bath tub available, but no 'stopper'. When I complained about the noise the next morning, they offered to move me to a quieter room, but said it might not be available until the following day. I checked out the room, and although much quieter than the first room, I wasn't sure how quiet it would be at night so said I would try to find other accomodation. The lady I spoke to was very understanding. Spent a couple of hours trying to find different accomodation. I checked out at 3.30pm. I was charged 3 nights accomodation - approx 290 US dollars as it was the deluxe room. Quite expensive for one night without sleep!! I paid as I was so tired, I just wanted to get to my new accomodation, and the manager (who said I needed to pay for 3 nights - I'd offered to pay for 2) wasn't there.

The staff at Hotel Catedral is exceptional. Adan goes out of his way to assist with any need and the owner, Carlos, is an experienced hospitality professional. Our suite was spotlessly clean even the kitchen refrigerator was spotless. The air conditioner works fine and there are ample, comfortable pillows. The locations is excellent for the Puerto Vallarta experience. Adan & Carlos helped us with details in planning our drive from pv to San Cristobal de las Casas including routes, hotels, and assistance with where to park our rental car the night before. Adan offers to run out to get you anything you may want and bring it to your room as well. We so enjoyed the hotel in Morelia he referred us to. Wonderful service in a very cool hotel layout with interesting details, courtyard, books, and room with a lot of charm. We return in 2 weeks!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The courtyard was festive and we didn't mind our room overlooking it. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, close to Malecon and the centro where we enjoyed dinner at the food stands.
Nothing to dislike.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the sun and sand. Exploring the area on foot is a breeze as it is situated right down in the "old downtown" area. The communal areas are well-maintained and provide a comfortable space to relax.
The front desk staff could have been more prompt in addressing concerns about missing amenities and charges.

My husband and I recently stayed at a charming boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta and had a fantastic experience. The hotel's location was perfect, just a couple of blocks away from the famous cathedral and the beautiful boardwalk. We loved being right in the heart of the shopping district, it made exploring the city so convenient. The hotel itself had a rustic and colorful vibe that we adored, and the rooms were super clean. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, offering helpful suggestions for activities and restaurants. They even printed out some emails for us when we needed assistance. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, like occasional Wi-Fi issues and street noise, we still thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel. I highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta for its excellent location and top-notch service. I can't wait to return.
